Long-term data retention serves to store completed digital media productions (image, audio, video, or publication files) permanently and in a revision-proof manner. The data remains centrally accessible, is backed up regularly, and resides exclusively on federal administration servers.

Key Features at a Glance
Format Transfer: If needed, DMA can convert media formats that are no longer supported into current digital formats and archive them; this service is charged based on effort.
Storage Space: Each organizational unit (OU) receives 10 TB of storage space upon ordering, which can be increased up to 200 TB for a fee.
