Digital Asset Management

DAM 2.0 is the Federal Administration’s official modular offering for exchanging, publishing and safeguarding digital media. Each stage of media production is supported by an optimal platform:

1. Media Production Platform: helps small and large teams within the Federal Administration exchange media (publications, photos, videos), co-edit them and share them with external partners. This simplifies collaboration in media projects and the transfer of large files to internal and external recipients.
2. Photo Agency: extensive photo libraries can be curated with descriptions and metadata. The “Landing Page” option enables attractive, long-term publication of photo archives or a selection of current images.
3. Video Agency: videos can be distributed via dedicated channels, either publicly or internally. All usage rights remain with the Federal Administration. Videos can be embedded directly in Living Docs.
4. Long-term Data Preservation: completed projects or large digitised collections can be stored for the long term in a revision-safe manner.

DAM is operated by the Armed Forces Digital Media AFDM on federal servers in Swiss data centres. The service is accessible from the internet and designed for terabyte-scale data volumes.

Interested teams and organisations can order individual modules from FOITT and register themselves on the platforms at the same time.
